Brief Analysis of Quality Classification Standards for Recycled PET Bottle Sheets
Recycled PET, due to its relatively short recycling cycle and mature upstream and downstream development, has attracted numerous entrants in recent years. According to the current domestic recycled PET products, 65% of them are recycled PET bottles made from waste beverage bottles. What grades can the recycled bottle flakes be divided into, and which link of recycling and reprocessing has the greatest impact on its quality? Today we will make a brief analysis of this.
Although there are many manufacturers of recycled bottle flakes, most of them are small in scale. Businessmen do not have a very specific concept of the quality and grade of their products, which affects the expansion of the sales radius of manufacturers and the development of new customers. What is the criterion of product grade division? Regenerated bottle flakes can be roughly divided into several categories. Let's take a detailed look below.
Classification table of regenerated bottle flakes
The table above is our classification of recycled bottle flakes in terms of usage and PVC content. As can be seen from the table above, the processed recycled bottles have different grades of chemical fibers suitable for production due to their different content of PVC. The higher the content of PVC, the lower the grade of chemical fibers that can be made from recycled bottle flakes. When the content of PVC in bottle flakes is less than one thousandth, recycled bottle flakes can even be used to make bottles and plastic steel strips. Therefore, how to reduce the content of PVC in recycled bottles as much as possible is the key to the processing of recycled bottles.
As we all know, PVC in waste recycled PET bottles mainly exists in the form of label paper. Because both PVC and PET are submerged materials, it is necessary to remove PVC before crushing to ensure the quality of recycled bottles. At present, in the production and processing of workshop-type bottle flakes in China, most small manufacturers use manual off-label method to remove label paper. Although the label paper is relatively clean, the efficiency of this method is low and the production rhythm is slow. Larger manufacturers use off-label machines to remove label paper. Although the off-label machine boasts that its off-label rate can reach 98% or even more, it is still far from enough compared with the requirements of several ten thousandths of downstream PVC. Now known high-end machinery, such as spectral sorting, is based on the different reflection wavelengths of plastics, the plastics that are not PET are eliminated as far as possible to ensure the purity of the remaining PET plastics. This kind of equipment is also a possible choice for future large-scale manufacturers to put into production and expand capacity.
From the above analysis, it can be seen that impurities are the most important way to classify bottle flakes. After understanding this point, the bottle flake factory in the future production and processing of recycled materials may have this, but also according to this standard to improve the quality of targeted, expand business.
